The Oasis | 2020
This conceptual proposal focuses on how the site offers immense possibilities; at the heart of the city, surrounded by a built fabric of concrete forests, how could we reimagine and build on the site’s unique story and make a new spot place?
The Oasis| Conceptual Rendering
This proposal was made as research in order to study creating new interconnected urban spot characterized by its "nature" and interconnected pathways.
Inspired by the existing natural mixed environment and the traditional dense urban fabric of cities, between the old and the contemporary, the master plan develops an environmental synergy between landscape and urbanity.
Carved out of a site that was formerly a park, the new development brings this latent oasis condition to the fore through the way the natural environmental condition is woven together with the dense urban fabric.

In order to reintegrate pedestrian-friendly city aspects into the master plan through the creation of interconnected-elevated pedestrian walkways which meet in the very green spot in the city which contains different types of spaces, each having its own program and purpose, like outdoor art galleries, water features, music and theatre performance pavilions, skate park, sports zones, playgrounds, forests, waterfalls, etc. Therefore, the historical old urban fabric is not forgotten. Its new function includes a walkability system of directional trails, accesses, and green spaces.
This design proposal is informal, multi-use, friendly, connected and continuous.

As a response for the surrounding context, this proposal was designed to be more in harmony & interactive with the surrounding skyline, with the same concept essence.

Initiating the idea of mixing two different directions of Architecture; keeping what's old & mixing it with modernity, how the fluidity of the future got integrated with the rigidity of old .

The masterplan’s overall concept draws inspiration from the alleys of ancient arabian cities. The organic pathways which is mixed with greenary allover the project, penterated by basic masses of simple buildings (which cluster to form the flea markets , the commercial plaza& the recreational plaza) , while as we go up on highier floor levels,( where the workshops & residential areas take places) the design starting to transform gradually to the contemporary Architecture .
